Letter from the editors ...
Dear Readers,
As the close of another academic year fast approaches, many of you are about to embark on one of the greatest milestones in your life — the college experience. In the midst of making so many important choices and decisions which will impact your life significantly, this issue is all about encouraging you to listen to your inner voice and deciding what is best for you. And perhaps as you read “In Consideration of Your Future” you will relate to the rollercoaster experience of submitting those college applications and waiting for the important decision from what we hope is “The School of Your Dreams.” In the meantime, check out our “In Da City” reality show update as the final show will broadcast soon. And on a more celebratory note, in “Eek! I’ve Got a Pimple on Prom Night!”, who says the “prom thing” is cast in stone? Remember, you have choices — take some time and plan how you want to celebrate the culmination of your high school experience. Whatever your decisions about college or end-of-year celebrations, we hope that you survived both parental and peer influences and follow your heart, even if that means, to quote Robert Frost, taking “The Road Less Traveled.” Sincerely, Joselyn Smith-Greene Clara Lee Editors

The courting ritual, the lurid expenses, and the preposterous expectations are sometimes overbearing. While the Prom is great for some people, others may want to take a more laid back approach to celebrating the end of their high school years.
