Jun 4, '04 Chumz Corp is officially recognized as an Associate Member of the Mentoring Partnership of New York (MPNY).
Jun 15, '04 Cathedral High School becomes a partner with Chumz!
Jun 22, '04 Lasalle Academy becomes Chumz's second partner!
Jul 8, '04 Chumz's Fundraiser at the Waterstone Grill was a real success! Special thanks to former pro hockey player Adam Burt for appearing, and co-hosts Stein and Erik Willanger. All proceeds will go to program costs this fall.
Aug 7, '04 Chumz hosted its first monthly public creative brainstorming session!
Sep 22, '04 Chumz had its first kick-off for the school year of 2004-2005! Kevin Singleton spoke at La Salle Academy about life principles. The event touched many young hearts present that afternoon. Many signed up to become Mentors and Mentees.
Oct 20, '04 Kevin Singleton spoke at Cathedral High School for two sessions. This event recruited 50 students for Chumz!
Nov 20, '04 Chumz had its first mentor-mentee training at Cathedral High School with Mentoring Partnership of NY. Donna Smith from MPNY taught the Mentors' class and Eelin See, our very own President taught the mentees.
Dec 11, '04 Chumz commences the 6-month long TV production project with a reality show due in May! Stay tuned!
Jan 18, '05 Chumz visited Sony Wonder Tech Lab on Madison Ave.
Feb 26, '05 Chumz invited Rachelle Butler and Amanda Fields, two precious speakers who shared about self-image and true beauty!
Apr 9, '05 Chumz TV had its first TV audition for High Schools students in the NYC city area!
Apr 30, '05 Chumz had 5 special speakers from different professions, ranging from the Medical field to the Arts, share about their formulae to success at Career Afternoon! It was a tremendously inspirational session for Chumz!
May 28, '05 A BIG day for Chumz TV crew. Chumz's 13-people TV crew finally shot their TV reality show with 7 high school contestants from around the city! It was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved! Stay tuned for more details!
Jul 11, '05 Chumz showcased its very first Chumz TV production shot by our very own teenagers: In DA City! The screening attracted a crowd of 50! Chumz also gave out 'Certificates of Excellence' to all graduating Seniors!
Oct 29, '05 Chumz presented the first of our new monthly conference series:"Next Step: Your Dream School?". The panel discussion offered great insights and challenged all teenagers to dream BIG! It was very well received by the 28 students who attended! Special thanks to our panelists: Cabin Kim, Audrey Kim, Dr. Ugonna Iroku, and Karen Lau for sharing with us!
Jan 14, '06 Chumz presented "The Power of Mentorship" in partnership with The National Mentoring Partnership of New York (MPNY). The event featured Shawn Dove, the Vice President of MPNY! It was a very inspirational event to all who attended!
Sep 26, '06 Chumz officially launched at Baccalaureate School of Global Education (BSGE) in Queens, New York! We are THRILLED about this new partnership!
Mar 19, '07 13 Chumz mentor-mentee pairs trudged to P.S. 150 and met the children they will be mentoring this semester! Chumz is now at elementary schools!!
